2026 started energetic and dynamic for the worldwide known contemporary artist, bringing his unique work to the art scene in one of the most important cultural events in Mexico city!
During the first week of February, when Mexico D.F transforms into a vibrant epicenter of global contemporary art, the artist Carlos Delgado showcased his captivating contemporary art work at the private venue - 9BIS OPEN ART HOUSE - within this remarcable week, hosted by Carlos Cubas and a creative community of artists. Under the umnbrella of this -one of a kind event- collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts from around the world gather every year in the city for its internationally recognized Art Week, a moment when creative dialogue, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange take center stage.
The evening unfolded as a celebration of contemporary expression, different artists showcasing their work, good music, food and drinks. The night had a delightful moment with a powerful live painting performed by Carlos Delgado, the artist transformed the space into a stage of movement, texture, and emotion. With confident gestures and a refined visual language, Delgado constructed a work in real time, allowing the audience to witness the raw energy of creation. The performance left attendees breathless—an immersive reminder that art is not only meant to be observed, but experienced.
Known for his expressive and dynamic abstraction and sophisticated interplay between light and shadow, Delgado presented a striking series of black-and-white pieces during his time in Mexico called - Cloudy Inspiration - . These works, marked by bold contrasts and gestural intensity, reflect not only that the artist continues to expand his visual narrative—exploring depth, emotion, and movement with heightened intention but, a mature phase in his artistic evolution.
